Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Gati Cargo Packers and Movers ("we," "our," "us"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website (gaticargomovers.in) and our moving, packing, relocation, and logistics services. By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services or website.

2. Our Services

Gati Cargo Packers and Movers provides comprehensive relocation services including:

  • Household shifting (1BHK, 2BHK, 3BHK, and villas)
  • Bike and car transportation
  • Office and corporate relocation
  • Luggage and parcel moving (domestic & international)
  • Warehousing and storage services
  • International moving and cargo shipping
  • Logistics and freight services

All services are subject to availability and confirmation by our team.

3. Booking & Payment Terms

3.1 Booking Confirmation

Bookings are confirmed only after receiving an advance payment (typically 25% to 50% of the total estimated cost). The balance amount must be paid before unloading at the destination unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Payment Methods

We accept payments via UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, bank transfer, and cash. All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR).

3.3 Price Estimates

All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you provide. Final charges may vary based on actual volume, distance, packing materials used, and any additional services requested. Any changes in scope of work will be communicated and approved by you before proceeding.

3.4 GST & Taxes

GST at applicable rates (5% on transport services, 18% on packing and ancillary services) will be added to all invoices as per Indian tax laws.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Free Cancellation: Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled move date are eligible for a full refund (minus any payment gateway charges).
  • 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 24 to 48 hours before the move date will receive a 50% refund of the advance amount.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the move date or on the day of the move are not eligible for any refund.
  • After Dispatch: Once our trucks have been dispatched to your location, no cancellation is possible, and no refund will be issued.
  • Service Adjustment: Advance payments can be adjusted for future moves within 90 days if you reschedule rather than cancel.

Note: All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email. Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days.

5. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the items to be moved, including any fragile, hazardous, or valuable goods.
  • Declare the correct pickup and delivery addresses with proper access for our trucks.
  • Ensure that all necessary permissions (elevator bookings, parking permits, society NOCs) are obtained before our arrival.
  • Pack personal valuables (jewelry, cash, important documents, medicines) separately and carry them with you. Our insurance does not cover these items.
  • Be present during loading and unloading to verify the condition of goods.
  • Clear all outstanding payments before unloading at the destination.

6. Prohibited Items

We do not transport the following items under any circumstances:

  • Flammable, explosive, or corrosive materials (gas cylinders, petrol, acids, paints, fireworks)
  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons of any kind
  • Narcotics, drugs, or illegal substances
  • Perishable food items (fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat)
  • Live plants or animals (we can refer you to specialized pet movers)
  • Cash, jewelry, precious stones, or valuable documents (please carry these yourself)
  • Alcohol and tobacco products (subject to state restrictions)

If any prohibited items are found in your shipment, we reserve the right to refuse service without refund and may report the matter to authorities.

7. Liability & Insurance

7.1 Transit Insurance

All shipments are covered by transit insurance up to a maximum of ₹50,000 unless you purchase additional coverage. The insurance covers damage or loss due to accidents, fire, theft, or mishandling during transit.

7.2 Exclusions

Insurance does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear or scratches
  • Damage to electronic items due to improper packing by customer
  • Items packed by the customer (self-packed goods)
  • Consequential or indirect losses (delays, business interruption)
  • Acts of God (earthquake, flood, lightning, cyclone) — additional coverage available

7.3 Claim Process

To file a claim, you must:

  • Note any damage at the time of delivery on the delivery receipt
  • Take photographs of damaged items and packaging
  • Submit a written claim within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide original invoices or proof of value for damaged items

Claims are processed within 14-21 working days after documentation is complete.

8. Delivery & Transit Time

Estimated delivery timelines are provided at the time of booking. However, these are estimates and not guarantees. Factors beyond our control (traffic, weather, road conditions, legal strikes, vehicle breakdowns, or government restrictions) may cause delays. We shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from such delays.

For international shipments, customs clearance times vary by country and are outside our control.

9. Damage Claim Limitation

Our maximum liability for any claim related to loss or damage of goods is limited to the insured value declared at the time of booking, or the actual repair/replacement cost, whichever is lower. In no event shall our liability exceed ₹50,000 for domestic shipments unless additional insurance is purchased.

10. Packing Policy

We recommend professional packing for all fragile and valuable items. If you choose to pack your own items:

  • You assume full responsibility for any damage to self-packed items
  • Our insurance will not cover self-packed goods
  • We reserve the right to repack inadequately packed items at your cost

11. Storage Services

For storage services, separate terms apply:

  • Storage charges are billed monthly in advance
  • 30 days' written notice is required to retrieve stored goods
  • Unpaid storage fees for more than 90 days may result in disposal of goods
  • We are not responsible for natural degradation of stored items

12. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on our website (text, graphics, logos, images, and software) is the property of Gati Cargo Packers and Movers and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written permission.

13. Privacy Policy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and protect your personal information.

14. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, wars, riots, strikes, lockouts, transport disruptions, government regulations, or extreme weather conditions.

15. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurugram, Haryana. We encourage you to first contact us to resolve any issues amicably before initiating legal proceedings.

16. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
